HYPNOCAST Updates and Revisions and Big Overhaul Coming Soon!

Yep, the Hypnocast has been missing in action for a bit . . . but . . . look for a flurry of activity beginning 15 Sept. 2007 . . . that's when a bunch of changes will take place.

We will begin broadcasting the Hypnocast on a REGULAR basis.  That's right, no more on again off again posts.  We've decided to commit to full-on regular content.

We will have a LOT and I mean a LOT more audio Hypnocast episodes for you as well as a few more video Hypnocast sessions (so, don't fret, we aren't giving those up but changing how we do them so we can bring you MORE content).

We're also going to change how we do the video Hypnocasts.  We will no longer downsize the videos and place them here for download.  Instead, we will embed the higher resolution videos directly in the browser.  When technical issues are worked out, we may then have audio downloads of the soundtracks of the videos available for download but not the videos themselves.  This is a win-lose change, we know.  However, it means you get better quality video to watch and audio to listen to.  This change allows us to save server space here on Libsyn so we can have more episodes in a month as well as have better quality (it kills me to have to downgrade the video quality for the longer pieces simply because of the file size limits here at Libsyn).

For consistency, I will be removing the embedded files of past Hypnocast video episodes after Sept. 15, so if you really want those files, get them now.  I will place in-browser views versions.

I will also be placing a collection of the video episodes on my main webpages at http://www.BrianDavidPhillips.com in the videos section as well as on my page in the HypnoThoughts hypnosis community.  Perhaps on my various hypnosis Facebook communities as well (such as the Experiential Hypnosis and Hypnosis Trance Taiwan groups, if we can get around the technical hurldes).

Hypnocast Episode Twenty-Five . . .. . . SIGILS (Demonstrational Video)

Sigils (13:44, 69 megs.). This week, the Hypnocast is another video episode. This is a discussion and demonstration of the SIGIL process which was an early audio hypnocast episode so long ago (still available for direct download in the archives here).  This is an experiential trance technique that I developed based upon some magickal processes (albeit, this is strictly changework).  It can be a fun process. The downloadable video here in the hypnocast is puposefully kept small in size, later I plan on having a higher quality full resolution version available for streaming viewing via my blog and webpages.  However, the hypnocast gets this instructional version first. Hypnocast Episode Twenty-Four . . .. . . Furry Fun Hypnosis Shapeshifter Variation

FURRY FUN HYPNOSIS SHAPESHIFTER VARIATION (21:10, 24.9 megs.). This week, the Hypnocast is another video episode. This is a discussion and demonstration of Furry Fun Hypnosis, a variation of the Shapeshifter process which was an early audio hypnocast episode so long ago (still available for direct download in the archives here). This particular variation of the Shapeshifter process is a guided method that involves intensified imaginative involvement for a fully realized experiential trance experience, ideomotor action, and other trance phenomena leveraged to create a dynamic and postive experience.  Basically, in hypnosis your trance partner imagines herself as taking on animal form . . . the form can be full animal shape or an interim variation of humnanoid animal (popular with folks with a "furry" interest).  The downloadable video here in the hypnocast is puposefully kept small in size, later I plan on having a higher quality full resolution version available for streaming viewing via my blog and webpages.  However, the hypnocast gets this instructional version first. Hypnocast Episode Twenty-Three . . .. . . TAROT TRANCE

TAROT TRANCE (43:55, 78.2 megs.). Yes, there really is a new Hypnocast and it is a very special video episode. This is a discussion and demonstration of Tarot Trance, a variation of the Through the Gate into Tarot process which was the first audio hypnocast episode so long ago (still available for direct download in the archives here).  This particular variation of the Tarot Trance process is a single-card method that involves intensified imaginative involvement for a fully realized experiential trance experience, ideomotor action, and other trance phenomena leveraged to create a dynamic and postive experience.  As it's been a while since my last full episode upload, I have made this a very special episode in that the video includes the basic explanation as well as demonstration footage of me running the process with three different trance partners (the clip is after the induction, deepening, and processes for ensuring somnambulism and responsiveness).  All three of the examples are of trance partners experiencing their first ever hypnosis session.  The downloadable video here in the hypnocast is puposefully kept small in size, later I plan on having a higher quality full resolution version available for streaming viewing via my blog and webpages.  However, the hypnocast gets this instructional version first. Many folks, including a number "fully trained" hypnotists think of rapid and instant hypnosis techniques as requiring shakes, jerks, and loud shocks.  Not true, not true at all.  Here is an example of a gentle variation of a hand-drop induction that works just as well as any shock variation.

Hypnocast Episode Sixteen . . .. . . Fairy Dragon Experiential Trance . . .. . . . . . The Magick Egg

Fairy Dragon Experiential Trance (The Magick Egg) (16:10, 39.3 megs.). In this episode of the Brian David Phillips Hypnocast (audioblog and videoblog podcast) we demonstate a wonderful trance process for somnambulism, suggested visual and kinesthetic hallucination, and positive state anchoring. This week, the Hypnocast is a video. This is a simple explanation and then demonstration of one of my FAVORITE trance processes. The process requires somnambulism and utilizes positive hallucination, tactile sensation, and a number of other experiential hypnosis effects and is a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE for recreation or even hypnotherapy. I developed the original process when inspired by the short story The Magic Egg by Frank Stockton, the Nineteenth Century writer (Download The_Magic_Egg_by_Frank_Stockton.zip). However, my version is inspired by the story but is very very different and uses the image of a fairy dragon rather than a phoenix and is much more positive in nature. So, the story inspired me for certain elements in my process but the process certainly is not an adaptation, albeit, it is the short story that got me thinking. After the explanation in the hypnocast, there is a demonstration with a trance partner in genuine unrehearsed hypnosis so you can see the process in actual practical application   I have also used this process as one of the bags of tricks used in my Walkabout Trance Street Hypnosis act and have considered adding a variation to my Waking Dreams Hypnosis Show (for both of these, see more information in the category here or go to the "hypnosis show" section of my main webpages at http://www.briandavidphillips.com). In this episode of the Brian David Phillips Hypnocast (audioblog and videoblog podcast) we demonstate a simple trance process for somnambulism, suggested amnesia, and positive state anchoring. This week, the Hypnocast is a video. This is a simple explanation and then demonstration of a straightforward process I use that takes advantage of an old stage hypnotist effect of number amnesia for counting fingers and finding too many fingers and then turning that into a very powerful positive state emotion anchor. Eye and Triangle Mental Force Trick pattern (1:38, 16.8 megs.). In this episode of the Brian David Phillips Hypnocast (audioblog and videoblog podcast) we demonstate a simple walkabout trance process. This week, the Hypnocast is a video episode recorded during our recent Walkabout Trance event in Taipei (see my workshop posts at Life of Brian where a group of hypnotists got together and did cold walkups to members of the public to perform instant inductions and suggestion effects. This is a simple demonstration and explanation of a classic mentalism bit where you perform a mental force in an effect that appears to be a form of mentalism telepathy or mindreading in which you appear to be reading the thoughts of a spectator but in fact via non-verbal and verbal suggestion you are implanting the suggestion of what to draw without the person being aware of it. Phillips Variation Arm Pull Instant Hypnosis Induction (3:39, 37.3 megs.). In this episode of the Brian David Phillips Hypnocast (audioblog and videoblog podcast) we demonstate a simple walkabout trance process. This week, the Hypnocast is a video episode recorded during our recent Walkabout Trance event in Taipei (see my workshop posts at Life of Brian where a group of hypnotists got together and did cold walkups to members of the public to perform instant inductions and suggestion effects. This episode is a demonstration of my variation of an arm-pull instant hypnotic induction. The Phillips Variation Arm Pull Instant Hypnosis Induction utilizes a moment of misdirection and confusion based upon asking which hand a person uses the most. It is a nice piece to open folks with and is very quick and easy to use. I came up with the idea after playing around a bit with misdirection for influence and found that this particular approach has the benefits of other instant induction sets like the hand drop with the added confusion element of the handshake and others. I enjoy using it and have found many folks have increased success rates when following the pattern. Do note the video starts a bit late into the induction but the explanation is clear.
