There is now a Facebook group for folks interested in live comedy in Taiwan. If you are a comedian or if you are interested in seeing shows with live comedy, then join Taiwan Live Comedy http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5190203691 . . . if you know of performers, tell them to join and post their show dates. Likewise, if you know of a live comedy performance anywhere in Taian, then post the details (English or Chinese, although do note what language the show is in).
Interesting piece in the New York Times on lucid dreaming well worth the read . . . Living Your Dreams, in a Manner of Speaking . . . now, here's the fun part. Combine lucid dreaming with a programmed dream state suggestion, either dreamwise or experiential hypnosis and what I refer to as the experiential waking dreams and you've got a very powerful and positive experience.
Here we go again!
BRIAN DAVID PHILLIPS performs two laugh filled comedy hypnosis shows at Live COMEDY CLUB Taipei!
Two shows, twice the opportunity for hilarious hypnotic hijinxs and more!

Brian David Phillips returns to the Taipei stage for two evenings of hypnotic comedy fun! Taiwan's premiere comedy hypnosis show goes on stage at Live COMEDY CLUB Taipei for two special evenings of audience interactive comedy entertainment.

Live Comedy Club Taipei - http://www.comedy.com.tw/english - is located at B1, No.24, Taishun St., (in the Shirda area), Taipei. Call 02-23693730 for directions or reservations. NT$350 for the show.

The first folks on site will receive a free specially produced self-hypnosis audio CD of the Waking Dreams trance experience (limited supply; first come, first served - the gift CDs for each evening will be different and are from a collectible series, so be sure to collect them all).

Be sure to contact Live Comedy Club Taipei - http://www.comedy.com.tw/english - and give them a call at 02-23693730 for reservations now.
This is an "open" event so invite your friends. Hypnosis shows are interactive experiences so the more of your friends with you to enjoy the experience, the better the show and the more wonderful the evening's entertainment! The expression "the more the merrier" is certainly true!
When replying that you are attending, feel free to wall post what days you will be there . . . of course, extra kudo points go to those who are going to both shows!
All the best,
Brian

Yesterday was a typhoon day. Oh, joy, oh, rapture. Didn't really mean much for me since classes started today (so, I got to stay home on a day I was going to stay home anyway).
We got a call from the painters at the new house who decided to paint and work . . . water was pouring in. Had to call the roof/leak guy and went to inspect the dealio. Well, they have to do more roof work - the leak means we can't carpet until there's dry weather so they can seal things (it's typhoon season so that's a fairy tale thing right from the get-go). We may have to move into an unfiished place with leak and all just to avoid paying rent at two places. Sucks.
My computer woes are still running full force. Turns out the motherboard is fried, still under warranty so they sent my computer to the factory to replace it . . . that means all those school files I need to prep classes I am teaching NOW are not available. More suck.
Oh, air conditioner in our bedroom died . . . we're moving and can't take the air con to the new place (as we are using different configurations there and have to buy new ones for that) so we are letting it go and sleeping in the guest room as best we can. Sucks some more.
All the best,
Brian

Those of you who know us personally know our pets as they are part of our family. Last night we came home to discover that O'Nyau had passed away while we were out. She was a mixed Siamese and was twenty when she passed. She had been very ill for the past few weeks so we were not surprised by her passing but nevertheless the sadness is the same. Those of you who know Lorraine know how important this cat has been to her, a familiar and friend and child.
