We've added a bookstore to our webpages.  You can go directly there via the pages at http://astore.amazon.com/shakespeareeclec or just click on the bookstore link in the sidebars here or at our main pages at http://www.briandavidphillips.com for convenient access.

Not a lot there right now, but we will be adding new products and categories over time (I probably will just have the one bookstore for all of my interests instead of several small stores for different sites and just expand the categories).

It will be easier to keep everything under one roof that way.

If there's something you feel I really must list that's available from Amazon, the let me know and I'll consider adding it).  I will likely material sent to us for a reveiwer here in a category here and in the bookstore as well so it's easier for folks to access.

Tickle Tickle . . . bartender hypnosis

My friend Aaron (Hypnofocus, HypnosisFetish, and HypnoSlave) is visiting my friend David (Azure Mind Changes and Fun2Hypno) in Atlanta and between the two of them, they're as interesting a pair as one can find . . . they're also both very accomplished street hypnotists, the sort of folks who will hypnotize anyone, anytime, anyplace, anytrance.

That means hypnotic hijinx pretty much most of the time.  Recently, the hypnotic pair went to a pub where they spent a few hours hypnotizing anyone and everyone in the place.  See Aaron's version of the story here.  One of their happy volunteers was the bartender who Aaron tranced into feeling tickling which he then changed into tickles of pleasure which she obviously enjoyed quite a bit.  Here's the video, the sound sucks because of the background noise but you will get the idea (just another demonstration that you can perform hypnosis anywhere and that the need for absolute quiet is a myth, those of us who enjoy walkabout trance and street hypnosis have known this for years):

Quite a bit of fun.  Do go to Aaron's page to read his account of the events here.  Yes, Aaron is one of the scheduled guest speakers at HYPNOTICON, the open community hypnosis convention, where he will also be performing an erotic stage hypnosis show.  His approach to hypnotic performance is very different and well worth one's while.

Shadae . . . Shadow Creatures

I suppose shadae is one way to call shadow creatures, a romantic name with occultish feel . . . they're the things in the corner of your eye on a dark gloomy night . . . the ones that don't go bump in the night as they have no real form or substance, they are an illusory wisp . . . some folks give them substance through belief and others dismiss them as a trick of the light . . . Shadow Creatures Weird Beings of the Paranormal Realm . . . I've known a few folks who see them naturally and head on in a fashion similar to the couple in the essay and I've had a few folks ask me to hypnotize them to be able to see them. I normally decline such requests, just as when folks ask me to hypnotize them to see ghosts like in the movies (such as A Stir of Echoes), I will send them on their way. Most folks who invite such "powers" do so out of curiousity but without thinking past what that simple curiousity brings with it. Some few folks have the fortitude for such things, for most of us, that way lies the path of being a character in an HP Lovecraft story and that almost never ends well.

Why Girls Like Pink

So there really are some biological differences in color preference . . . Why Girls Like Pink . . . while everyone likes blue, women tend to like redder shades and men the greener spectrum. Girls really do prefer pink.

Ling speculates that the color preference and women's ability to better discriminate red from green could have evolved due to sex-specific divisions of labor: while men hunted, women gatherered, and they had to be able to spot ripe berries and fruits. Another theory suggests that women, as caregivers who need to be particularly sensitive to, say, a child flushed with fever, have developed a sensitivity to reddish changes in skin color, a skill that enhances their abilities as the “emphathizer.”

Interesting stuff. Not just cultural, it seems to be biological. However, it doesn't mean that some women don't like pink or that some men do. Heck, I am a big pink and purple fan.

Boris Kobe Concentration Camp Tarot

A colleague at the university sent me a link to a very interesting Tarot deck created by Boris Kobe when he was a prisoner in Allach Concentration Camp around 1945 . . . see here . . . it's a chilling reminder of life in the concentration camps as well as an intriguing example of Tarot.

Actor Aaron Eckhart stops Smoking and Drinking with Hypnosis

Hollywood actor Aaron Eckhart used hypnosis to kick his smoking and drinking habits. He credits hypnosis with the change and says he would use hypnosis for therapeutic change if needed . . . Cynical Shyness . . .. . . When Shyness Turns Deadly

While not exactly about hypnosis, this piece on cynical shyness and how it can lead to violent outbursts is fascinating . . . When Shyness Turns Deadly . . . obviously, if it's gotten to the point of random school shootings then shyness has gone way too far by a bunch. However there are early childhood strategies to help and even adults can be aided. Preaching to the converted, I know . . . but there really are some trance techniques and hypnosis processes that can be of assitance in helping folks with shyness.
