When Spencer Tunick comes to your town, be ready. The gallery of his public installations is wonderful. The images are so strikingly beautiful.
His photographic art deals with nudity, lots and lots of nudity, basically lots and lots of regular folks like you and me - well, maybe you and not so much me - standing or crouching or huddled together in a great human mass of natural splendor.
His images capture the beauty of the human form while carefully arranging it within the beauty that is the human need for social groups . . . the loving and beautiful mass moment. Not a flash mob of nudity, as it is less chaotic, more structured, fine . . . yet, with a breath of playfulness, erotic and yet innocent.
Good stuff. It would be nice if he came to Taipei to stage an event . . . but I wouldn't hold my breath.
